Ending September
This week was an eventful one. Holy crap, 5 tests in 5 days, which was lucky, because I had 5 in 3 days, with the 3 hard ones on a single day, but I convinced my professors to move them around. Anyway, in cars this week :
Chris (Guitarman355) got his new exhaust this week. It is a Tsudo N1 muffler on a custom fully welded catback built by the guys over at Locklear's. It's a very nice shop. The guy who runs it has a 3 second 1/8th mile car.
We fixed a bunch of stuff on Chris' and my cars. His parking brake was broken, his ashtray lid had disappeared into the dash, and he blew a boost hose off. Funny story that... we were cleaning both of our throttle bodies (my egr needs blocking off), and forgot to re-tighten the boost hose. When he went out to reset his fuel trims (reset ecu to try to fix some issues), he put some throttle into it and the boost hose blew off with a hell of a noise, and the sound of the motor obviously changed. This scared him badly. It was hilarious.
Sadly, I'm now less towards my goal of my built short block than I was last week, but hopefully, I can earn it all back. Still, I changed my pistons and rings from JE to CP, so I save some money there, and I think, wind up with stronger pistons.
I got screwed into store credit instead of full refund, by Modern Performance, so I probably won't be going back to them.
