The Cars in my Life- Plain and Customized

I will briefly explain all of the cars I have known so far in my lifetime.

The first was a marooned colored Chrysler wagon that belonged to my Grammy. Her dashboard was covered in stickers that I had collected from the bank, Hannaford's, and Wal-Mart when I was a little girl. At the time my Grampa had an old red Ford pickup, of which style I am not sure. He ended up painted it blue, it was a 1990, he would always remind me it was as old as I was. My two uncles frequently changed between pickup trucks, my Uncle Greg preferred Chevrolet and my Uncle Toby liked Ford, though he owned his occasional Chevy truck.

The first car my family owned was an old Jeep Cherokee, the kind that had a silverish-grey top and a type of woodgrain piece on the bottom of the body.
Later, after we got rid of the Jeep, my Mom, back in the day, owned a silver 1993 Toyota Corolla, as old as my little brother. My Dad owned a green, 1997 Dodge Ram, which continuously gave my family money problems even though my Dad took care of it.

The Corolla served my family well and I'm sure it would have been able to last us much longer when my Mom traded it in at 193,000 miles for a brand new 2005 blueish-purple colored Subaru Forester. I believe it was mainly the AWD that my Mom wanted out of the Forester. But, her younger friends made fun of the strange colored vehicle and after having the car for only 2 months she traded it in for a silver 2005 Honda Civic. My Dad's Dodge continued on with our family but finally he decided he deserved a new vehicle too. He settled with a 2006 Ford F-150. When my Dad got his truck I still hadn't had my first car yet.

In January 2007 I recieved my first car. My Dad paid for the insurance and I sent in the payments every month. It was a dark red Chevrolet Prizm. I still have it to this day. But times have changed. I have made many new friends with a different type of lifestyle. They center their lives about one and one thing only: Cars [and or trucks].

In Londonderry there aren't many things to do. I make my friends mainly in Derry, the next town over. We belong to a car group called Ridin' Dirty Customs. I love my friends. From them I've learned things about cars and trucks that the average girl probably doesn't know. I love cars and trucks now, especially customizing them and making them more powerful.

In my life now there's Juniors 1989 flat black Chevrolet S10 Pickup, Kevin's hatchback Mustang and Mercury Capri, Craig's flat black Mustang, and many others. One being my boyfriends 2007 Ford Mustang GT. It's Tungsten Grey, a color not available for any other Mustang year, and it has window tint, 20" Chrome American Racing rims, and custom black Boss stripes down its hood and sides. In the spring it will have a black chin spoiler, a black honeycomb back panel, and most importantly a Whipple supercharger. My new toy, as you can see, is a 1986 lowered Hugger Orange Chevrolet S10 Blazer.

In my Grandparents barn are two Chevrolet Camaros, a 1987 and a 1968 that have been there ever since I can remember. They belong to my Uncle Greg; maybe I'll inherit them one day. Underneath the barn is a very old, green Ford that apparently belongs to my Dad. My boyfriends boss has three older style Camaros and two old Chevy Pickups. I have left out many cars I have known in my life, many just plain cars, others are unique customized projects. I hope you enjoyed reading.
