About Me

My name is Scott, & I am a
100% Mopar Muscle Car Fanatic.

In 2005, I along with my wife Jackie founded the
Mopar Enthusiasts Car Club Of America (MECCA).
The "MECCA" Of Mopar Clubs

Our club is currently the fastest growing all Mopar club in America.

A few things that Jackie and I enjoy are: Car Shows, Traveling, Camping, Racing, and working on cars.

One of the goals I have is to keep my era alive. My era is from the late 60's to the mid 80's. During this time a lot of cool things were around, Muscle Cars, Rock Music, Street Racing, etc. It was a great time to be growing up.

I am usually a pretty outspoken person, I have something to say about everything, right or wrong.
I love to joke and kid around, but yet I'm very competitive.
I like to be the best at what I do, but yet I can concede to defeat.
I am the best at what I do, and that is being me.

General Vehicle Comments
This is our

or as we refer to it, The Large Charge.

The '71 Charger will soon be undergoing a frame up restoration.
It will be "Plum Crazy" With white vinyl top and white interior.

We also have an '81 Dodge Ram 150 Stepside Pickup that is our current frame up project.

And we recently bought a '63 Dodge Town Panel Truck that we hope to work into our schedule soon. *fingers crossed*

Future Plans

Plans for the Charger are;
Rebuild and upgrade the 318 and 727 trans.

We will be changing the exterior from the dark Purple to the actual PPG 71 Dodge C-7 Plum Crazy.
Will also be adding a full white vinyl roof.

Old School Cragers, 15 X 14 Rear, 15 X 8 Front.
Mickey Thompson Tread, The Widest High Performance Street Legal Tire, the Sportsman Pro,29X18.50-15LT Rear, 26X12.50-15LT Front.

Interior will be getting a full make over. Changing it from the current color to white, with Plum Crazy accents.

Tinted windows.
Power windows front and back.

The complete transformation will be in the neighborhood of $15 - $20 K.

I never use the tablesaw or I would cover it. I paid like $100 for it at Menards and the blade and housing are as tight as it can be and it moves side to side alot so can't get a good cut. Expensive saw horse and paint stand.

Hey Scott, I have a question. Why does everyone put the glass fuel filters like on the panel close to the carb, wouldn't it be better before the pump? My hose is cut down before the pump with a piece of pipe in there and would like to put my filter there instead so I could run the braided hose cover from the pump to the carb.

Well the new battery only did the trick a few starts. Starter went back to just the wheel engaging but not turning. After trying for 20 minutes to jump it gave a tug and got some slack in the cable to the starter while the wife turned it over and it fired right up. I bought all new battery wires for it yesterday so hopefully that takes care of it.Did you see the latest pics I took? I'm trying to identify the seats that were in it.

I'm back to a v8 so you don't have to be lonely anymore, LOL! Got tired of no tuner or sport compact classes at shows and getting thrown in the 70 and up type street machine class. If that is where I have to show might as well have a bad ass street machine. ha ha!

Im a nut shell, Gordon paid a local shop to bore out his factory original motor and rebuild the factory original heads. The machinest bored his motor 40 over and cleaned up the heads. The guy didn't rebuild them at all, but charged Gordon for the work. Then the guy retired. The shop isn't going to honor their ex-employee's work.

The heads having not been rebuilt with any new parts was allowing the oil to drain into the cylinders is mass amounts. Some where along the way in the last 1600 miles something forein got into the cumbustion chamber and scored the hell out of the #7 cylinder.

Two choices are to sleeve #7 or bore the factory numbers matching motor 60 over and risk possible overheating issues.

Hey Scott, the motor wasn't done right with the first machinest. So I went ahead and ordered a new crate motor from summitracing. I'll do the numbers motor later, bag it, and save it for a rainy day.

6 and a half months from start to finish. Funny thing is I'm even proud of his win last night. Its not my car and I'm extreamly proud of it. Last night I'm telling people all about it in detail. The cool factor is, as far as we can tell its the only fully restored back tooriginal SOA nova in the south western United States.

That's one thing I really like about showing a newer car. Everyone thinks their car isn't show worthy so the class sizes are small. With a classic like yours might be up against 100 cars. I never won anything with the Barracuda or Chevelle but got a thanks for coming type awards. I hated that.
