About Me
I'm a 40 year old drag racing fan, and I like the unusual. "The Road Less Traveled" if you will, as you can see by the car I've chosen to modify.

If you're looking for "hot chicks" posing on the car, you're in for a disappointment. All business. The 'play' is saved for off-track.

General Vehicle Comments
Sponsored by:

Started as a back-up family car. Late-model, reliable, 4-dr, and not too bad on looks for what it is.

No reasonable performance mods where available other than simple bolt-ons when I started in, so I bought a body kit and thought I was doomed to doing only appearance mods.

I met my current sponsor, for who I designed the above logo, and we exchanged some ideas. Money changed hands, and the rest is putting in the wrench time.

For now, I'll be happy with what I can afford, which is probably high 11's in the 1/4 mile, but that will change as I get the funding to continue (see "Future Plans" below).

Accessories & Modifications
** GM 3400 V6 engine **
Tuned for daily driving on approximately 100 octane custom mix (no, I'm not rich) and 15psi on 8.7:1 base compression.

Turbo - T70
50mm BOV
48mm wastegate
air/liquid intercooler
custom headers/crossover/downpipe

Heads - race port and polish
stainless valves
Manley 350LB LS6 dual springs
titanium retainers and locks

Fuel - 42.5# injectors
custom rails
Walbro 340 (255LPH) fuel pump
Aeromotive A1000 boost referenced AFPR with guage

Intakes - race port and polish on both
lower manifold: factory type
upper manifold: 3500, custom LS6 flange

Throttlebody - GM 85mm polished and knife-edged

MAF - GM factory LS1

** Transmission **

threw out the toasted stock 4t45e
swapped in a 4t65e-HD from '03 Pontiac GTP

GTP torque converter
GTP hubs
GTP axles
custom machined hub spacers (transmission is wider than my stock one)

** Suspension **
all stock for now
spring-blocked rear to eliminate squat
aircraft cable (track only) tie down on front to prevent raising up.

the two combined keeps most weight over the drive wheels for increased traction and reduced torque loss.

** Interior **

No weight reduction. Object of the game here is to see how fast I can make it without stripping down the car.

Autometer Ultralite guages -
Boost -30psi
Trans temp
Air-fuel

Vehicle Showcase
Someone once said to me that "high HP, torque, and FWD don't mix". I say they don't know what they're talking about.

Stattama and ZZPerformance made my point for me rather nicely. Their twin-turbo Pontiac Gran Prix (black, left lane) stacked up against a strong competitor (red viper, right lane) and surprised more than a few people.

Bulletin Board
Future Plans
The current transmission is merely for fabrication mock-up. Once all the fabrication was complete and electronic issues (computer) were worked out, I'll be working on a fully built unit from ZZPerformance, which should be rated for low 10's continuous.

Race suspension

60# injectors

full SS braided lines underhood

wire tuck for clean look
