Here is the rundown on the Vega;
75 Vega, mild steel chassis, certification until 2010. Currently set up for Pontiac, has been 8.42@167mph with 505inch Wenzler Super Chief headed Pontiac on 112 gas only.
Factory steel with fiberglass hood, lexan tinted glass.
Car was originally built for AHRA prostock wars of the mid 70's. Has never been used on the street, even when new!
Engine set back, Delay box, MSD ignition, rachet shifter, front and midplates, 4 link, 32x14x15 M/T slicks (largest that will fit, other brands will not) weld dragstars, 24x4.5x15 M/T fronts,
Braced 9" with 35 spline MW centersection/ spool with new 35 spline Moser axles, wilwood brakes f/r. dual battery set up, 1 wire alt. (leave your batt. charger at home!) 8 gal fuel cell. Paxton 400 series pump.
JW Powerglide w/ JW bellhousing, turbo input, all the good stuff inside, transbrake, race pump, etc., JW 8" 5000 stall convertor, (this is a $2600 trans without the $1390 convertor).

I do have the front plate for a chevy engine. I really love this great driving car, but my new engine combo will be a low 7 high 6 second pure Pontiac combo (it has already been tested in another ride) so it's time to move up to a c/m chassis that will NHRA certify at 6.00 e.t.

You can't build this engine what I've priced it at. This combo is a proven 10.5 second in an early 3500lb LeMans on 92 octane pump gas with only a 3200 convertor/400th engine combination. Add your water pump, 1050 carb, 2" or larger headers and distributor and go win! Oh, and make sure you have a good hooking suspension !!!
