About Me
My interests are as follows:
Moto GP, AMA Superbike, X-Games, NASCAR, motorcycles and Ice Hockey!!

General Vehicle Comments
This is my second Ducati both were made in the same year (1982). The first one was a Mike Hailwood Replica and I am kicking myself now because I sold it to go overseas for a year, about 10 years ago. I loved that bike and my aim is to have one again. Don't get me wrong I also love the Pantah but my true love is the MHR 82 900cc pre electric start and before they changed the shape to a sharper look. I wouldn't mind the 84 model as well which is the last one they made before they decided to make something new. They had finaly got it right and then didn't make any more. OH well.

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair. - Douglas Adams

Accessories & Modifications
This is a list of the thing I have either repaired or replaced on the bike since I first rescued it from the previous uncaring stupid owner. These things were changed back to originals parts or to what it is today.
Front and rear brakes, front forks stems, rear shocks, front and rear blinker assembly's, new tinted screen, anodised oil filler cap, and gold RegoProTube, rear foot pegs, speedo cable, fuel taps and lines, exhaust pipes / headers and mirrors. New oil and timing windows, re chomed gear and brake linkages, full respray, wheels redone, custom belt covers, not to mention many hours of polishing and cleaning to get it sparkling again.

Future Plans
Still need to keep restoring the old girl, lots of bolts to replace (chrome/stainless steel)
Now that she has been painted and I finally found and purchased the original rear shocks,I will get her tuned up and polished up ready for the next big bike show in Brisbane, which I will enter and see how she goes, hopefully pick up a prize.

That "Chevy" you are referring to is actually a DODGE Ramcharger.

The Buell is nice...kinda small frame...full of torque though...she'll climb trees, then rattle the acorns loose.

G'day...It has been a while since I've been down under. I was in Sydney in late 2000...and your not gonna believe this, but I rode up Rt 1 on a Beemer GS to Woolgoolga...I shit you not...It was one of the best rides ever. Learned a great Aussie joke, and I quote...ahem.

"Americian beer is like making love on a canoe...because it is fucking close to water."

I get the K1 into the foothils of The Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia (about 120 klicks west of Washington DC), and there are a million twisty roads and it is really nice. One especially nice route is called Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park (check the map on at this site http://www.nps.gov/shen/planyourvisit/upload/whole_park.pdf)...the pic on my profile is on Rt. 522 "The Black Mamba!!!" Then we hope on The Blue Ridge Parkway and head into North Carolina. I'm usually not the one that the cops mess with though...they usually target my friends with ricers (Bussas and GSXRs)...they just drool over the K1 (less than 1000 in the USA...and mostly are the ketchup and mustard color scheme.). I'm fortunate to ride with a pack of really cool guys and I'm going to be buying a BMW R 1200 GS Adventure because there are ten times as many trails as there are paved roads.

Cheers Mate!
Happy New Year!
