About Me
Hi! My name is Mathew (my MySpace), I'm kind of a redneck, so I have more rigs than what will fit on a single account. So, to view the others visit the following links. Feel free to add all accounts to your friends list while you are there. Enjoy :)

Cars Trucks SUVs

Dirt Bikes Road Bikes

I have loved high horsepower cars my entire life, but I suppose that my grandfather (Larry Stephan "Steve" Dallolio) is really responsible for my obsession. Some of my earliest memories are of helping him wash his orbit orange GTO Judge. There is just something about the all to serious sound of a V8 engine. They whisper of excitement and roar of anticipation. Having my head squashed further into the back of my seat as I lean further on the peddle, is the only experience that even comes close to my true hobby... Dirt Bikes... I love to bike...

I love the AutoLog & intend to customize my profile right alongside my rides. I really want to win the Featured profile and get some of those sweet azz Italian shoes. :) That, & I believe that one of those spiffy plaques would look pretty sweet in my garage.

While I love all my rides, my Dodge is my pride-&-joy. It was my 1st ride, and it is the one I have put the most work into.
General Vehicle Comments
I acquired this pickup after my grandfather (The GTO guy) passed away in 98'. He owned this truck, and a 74' Ford 1/2-ton, and both pickups were sorely in need of an engine rebuild. I was 14 & sorely in need of sweet set of wheels. So, the deal was I rebuild the 302 in the Ford, & I get to keep the Dodge.

I have been trying to officially name the truck since I got her, but so far the only thing that has really stuck is "The Dodge" (A name she acquired on the farm, where she was the only Dodge on the property (Yeah, if you were to look around our place you'd think we were farming Fords).

This rig is my total gadget-mobile. I intend to fully equip her with about every single fun gadget or sweet accessory that I can think of. While she is already on her way, this will ultimately become one of the most custom trucks around.
Accessories & Modifications
Oh boy, the only thing that could be as long as this list should be, is the list of things I still intend to do to her... lol

To start with, the first thing I did when I got her was drive her back to the shop on both cylinders (Yeah, only 2 of 8) & tore the engine out right off.

With the block out, I bored it 30 over and re-ground the valve seats. I chose to try out a set of hyper-eutectic pistons for the first time. For those that are not familiar with the term, they are essentially, a forged aluminum piston. Lighter than a forged steel piston, but stronger than your typical cast aluminum piston. It is also less susceptible to heat/ring damage due to an increased silicon content.

With the block out, I swapped out the old 1800 rpm stall converter and installed a 2100 rpm converter to improve the launch, but still leave it in the drivable range.

I pulled out the factory instrument panel, and made a new one out of a sheet of brushed aluminum. In which the gauges were replaced with some more modern surface mount gauges, and I removed the stereo from the very inconvenient location (directly behind both the steering wheel and the column mounted shifter) and relocated it into the old ash-tray slot in the bottom of the dash. This both cleaned up the instrument panel, and put the stereo in a more central location.

Gun-rack in the window. (Somebody has to stay on top of those varmints!!!)

I recently acquired a roll-bar for her, and intend to chrome it when I get the rest of the body sprayed.

I replaced the old style white painted steel wheels with some very attractive polished aluminum Ultra 86 15"x7"s, and wrapped them in a so far well performing all terrain Wildcat tire.
Vehicle Showcase
Implied By Design

I mostly just street race her, so I'm not sure what her official time would be (Although, I am planning on attending an open-class session at the drag strip this fall), but I beat the hell out of my friends in a burnout competition by leaving a trail of rubber that measured just over 275'. I think I put about 5K miles on the tires in less than 300'.
Bulletin Board
September 8th, open-class drag-racing @ Firebird Raceway!!!
Future Plans
I have recently had the opportunity to begin making some of the more extensive modifications that I have always wanted to make to the truck. So it here goes;

- The already beefed up 360 (5.9L) is going to be pulled and replaced with either a 528 Hemi (8.7L) or a 540 (8.8L). That should just about suck the eyeballs into back of their heads.

-I am stripping every wire from the truck and replacing them with a much improved 22 circuit system that will support all the additional "gadgets" I intend to install.

-I've pulled the vinyl bench seat, & am replacing it w/ a cloth bench w/ fold-down console.

-The original door panels stopped at the top of the kick panel (And were ugly to boot), so I am make custom panels that will extend to the bottom of the door, & will both be perforated for the speakers, and include glove compartments beside the speakers.

-Both power windows and power locks are being installed.

-Stock, the truck has just a steel roof. I am going to both add a pop-up sunroof, and make a headliner to match the new door panels & seat.

-With the interior out, I am going to install a heavy application of sound-deadener to the cab.

-Currently the tank is equipped with a single in-cab fuel tank. I want to relocate the fuel tank to an under-bed mounting to gain some more cab room. This should also help with my weight distribution, as it moves a considerable amount of weight from a front & high point to a rear & low point. Hopefully, it will help cure some tire spin. lol

-Also in an effort to cure tire spin, but mostly to make the ultimate goal possible, I am installing an electronically locking rear-end. This will allow it to drive nice on the street, but when its time to race, flip the switch and double the traction.

-The stereo system should really sound nice, with all the components chosen to compliment each other well.

Head-Unit ~ Alpine IVA-W205

Capacitor ~ 1 Farad

Amp 1 ~ JL 450/4v2 (Mid-Range)

Amp 2 ~ JL 500/1v2 (Sub-Woofer)

Door Speakers ~ JL VR 6"x9"

Dash Speakers ~ JL ZR 5-1/4"

Rear Sub ~ JL 10w7

-Once I chrome the roll-bar, I am going to install a pair of additional high beam driving lights, and a pair of wide angle offroad lights on it. In the back of the rollbar I will install a bedlight.

-The front bumper is going to have a pair of fog-lights molded into it.

-A pair of tow-hooks are going to be installed in the front of the truck under the bumper.

-The old style "big-rig" style rear-view mirrors will be replaced with a pair of molded body colored mirrors.

-The latch on the tail gate will be replaced with one that locks.

-The interior of the bed, all the unexposed surfaces of the cab, and the entire under-side of the truck are going to be lined in Line-X or some form of bed-lining to prevent any future rust.

-A class IV tow hitch will be installed to allow me to remove the rear bumper hitch.

-To accommodate my dirtbiking hobby, a series of U-bolt style utility hooks will be added to the floor of the bed to make tying the bikes down a cinch.

-A locking under-bed trunk is going to be installed (Similar to the Honda Ridgline).
