Not much to say, I'm just a father of 5 thats always been a motorhead at heart. Back in my young days, I had a 75 Pinto with a bored out 2300 with 9:1 forge pistons, headers with 2" pipe all the way back, Holley 390 4 barrel carb. It ran mid 13's. So after 9 years in the Marine Corps and 10 years in Law Enforcement, and now doing Construction inspections I mellowed a bit and don't need all the speed any more, but more on the show and style side now.

The "American Dream" as I call it was the brain child of the engineers at Ford under their SVT division. The SVT Contour was made to compete with the BMW 3 series and other Japenese imports. Ford got it right! In head to head testing the SVT Contour was rated best in the class.

I'm the second owner of this mid-range beast of the SVT family. I first saw these high reving low crowling sleeper was in Spring of 97. I've kept it as one of the top vehicles I wanted when it was time to buy another car. In 2002 I was ready to buy and I was lucky to still find one. At this point The American Dream serves as both my show car and Daily Driver, at eleven years old it still turns head's and confuse judges at car shows in how to classify it.
