The Chevy V8 is my shepherd.

I shall not want.

It maketh me burnout on black pavements;

It leadeth me beside busy freeways;

It restoreth my soul

It leads me in the path of quickness for its name sake.

Yea though I walk through the valley of rice, I shall fear no turbo for torque art with me.

Thy rod and thy piston they comfort me.

Thou preparest a track before me. In the presence of mine enemies thou hast anointed my bearings with oil.

My truck over powers.

Surely traction and victory shall follow me all the days of my life

and I shall dwell in the house of the v8 forever.

Amen
Future Plans

Camera is still in the truck,LOL. I've been struggling lately trying to balance staying on the sunny side of the truck for pics with the sun washing it out too much or blinding the models. I had a lot of good shots wasted cause she looked like she was high from squinting so much.LOL

I ordered racing seats like the Probe had. Mainly orange with black accents, they will be here friday.So I have until then to fix the floor and have some new seat brackets made.I shouldn't even have wired the console until the floor was in but wanted to play with the navigation, lol

Thanks for the comment, its taking shape, was amazing to roll out of the garage and it just tried to keep going, so much smoother than the drums on the front all hanging up. Doing the rear axle swap this week on it. I might take you up on the offer of putting the 09 and trailer there if I dont drive it all the way. Its going to be a blast!

I was going to do it orange but now that you mention it maybe black would be better because of sun glare. Because I'm laid off still instead of ordering American Racing rims taking all the Probe sale money just ordered chrome smoothies with baby moons and BF Goodrich TAs. All the same size as what's on the truck now. Should be here next Tues/Wed.

As soon as I posted to you it was good to go on front tires shredded a rear, lol! Firestome was having a closeout on some tire so got 2 big meaty 275's on the back for $163 mounted and balanced. Got home from the show and picked up a screw in one of the front tires ,damn! Going to start custom building a center console now as soon as I find one of those cooler/heater things for trucks to keep food and drinks hot or cold in the armrest thing. Don't want to get started with audio /video and then not have that fit.

Went to the salvage yard today and found a old nova so pulled off a couple of rims with good tires from it for the front of the panel. Now I don't have to worry about those split dry rotten things anymore. Even found the right door handle but the sob wouldn't give it up, said someone might want the door complete.Should have just pulled it and threw it in the car, LOL! Thinking I'm going to start the inside tonight, Need some tunes. I knew I should have waited a lil longer before doing a challenge, LOL!

Hey Bill ,took the truck into St.Cloud for exhaust pipes to be bent up and get fitted for new rims. The shop called American Racing and they had nothing at all for the Ford 5x5 1/2 bolt pattern in the rear in any style. What the hell is the trick to all these old hotrods getting fitted for wheels? They took my cell number and going to call all the companies they deal with but I don't want to settle for some butt ugly wheel just because that's all that fits.

Got everything looking much better but now won't hold a charge. Noticed a wire was pulled out of the alt harness so jambed it back in and have had it on the charger all night, hope that does the trick. The terminal bolt on the back of the alt just loops back into the harness plug on top and when I have been doing some online research says that there should be a wire to the starter solonoid or directly to the battery from that. Make sense and any tips?

I know someone who knows what they are doing like Wizard could fix it up nice but all I could pull off is smoke and mirrors. This tearing into the engine business is scary for me but gotta learn sometime.I pulled a lot of the old body filler off and it was solid underneath just not very straight. I've been feeling a lil overwhelmed but figure if I just keep plucking away a lil here and a lil there the list of things to worry about will shrink.

Now I just have to figure out if hooker headers will clear the transmision gear shift linkage stuff. Now that I know what block I have can order the Edelbrock top end. Already sounds like it has a cam to me but could always go a little bigger.LOL

Truck has good tabs for the first time since 05 and every single person I passed today whipped their head around. I love it, LOL! Going to be even better once it's gussied up a lil. Bought a new battery and wires for it today and got new plugs. Should have got an air and fuel filter too but gives me a reason to drive it to town tomorrow, LOL!
