I'm a car guy, but I'm not an expert with cars. I just like to keep my Cougar is good shape and looking good. I like the outdoors and playing sports. I've been raised as a NASCAR fan and yes I did shed a tear when Dale died. I pretty much get along with anyone as long as they don't screw with me.

My car has only had one other owner and he treated her right. Not much history although I enjoy a little street race every once in a while. I've beat Neons, Luminas and ricers. I've only lost to a Nissan Z, but of course he had about a 1/4 less weight. Of course this is kinda bias since I really only race when I think I can win. I want to race a comparable American car like a Mustang just to see where I stand. I'm not cocky about my car like some people get, but I do like a good complement. And her name is "The Growler" like the old Muscle Cougars.

I do have a 10 CD Changer. And before you label me, I'm not into all the sounds systems and stuff. I just like to be able to change songs with the push of a button.
I recently had 2 Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers put on, produces a good sound.
Last summer I finally decided to get some engine mods put on. I put on a 75mm BBK T-body and 75mm Trickflow Plenum which gives the car a little more off the line.

I haven't raced in a while but the last time I did I pulled off a 15.509 @ 89.33mph

But she is #5355 of aprox. 5,000 30th Ann. Editions made. The 1997 was the last of the non-compact body style and the last of the great XR7 legacy.

Just keep her original and looking and running good. Hope she'll be worth something some day.
