About Me
I live in Ossian, IN. I love cars and everything to do with them. I'm still learning and open to ideas. I also enjoy working on aircraft of all types. I took a year course twords the A&P mechanic licensing, never finished due to the fact that I had to leave for basic training, but i'm back in college now... My job in the air force is an aircraft maintainer for F-16s. I plan to finish my schooling for my A&P license, and then shoot for a degree in aircraft maintinence... but we'll see how things go.
General Vehicle Comments
Bought her in November 06', Finally got her all paid off. It took a little longer thanks to the person who tagged the front left fender and front bumber in the parking lot of the hotel I was staying in over new years on my way back to base from home while I was on leave over christmas. Whoever hit it didn't bother to come in and say anything so I ended up payin about a grand getting that sorted out. But I got her all patched back up, the picture on my profile is a current one after the repair, so you can tell they did a good job, no complaints. Now it just needs some performance work put into it, soon to come....
Accessories & Modifications
Not much yet, still pretty much bone stock... Flowmaster cat-back (headers soon to come)and an intake. It's a beautiful car, but it needs a lot of work under the hood before I can can proudly call it my own. I got a lotta work ta do :)
Vehicle Showcase
Uhh, I can bark the tires in first through third without trying, smoke a set of brand new tires bald in about ten minutes, and laught at every 5.0 mustang as I fly past it off the line and watch it dissappear in the review. It's a fun car, but I want to make her faster, I got plans, and i'll post up what gets done, this winter is gonna be a project winter... I can feel it haha...
Bulletin Board
You had probably better not get caught by one of these:

I don't even want to know the price of the ticket...
Future Plans
Long term: Either a supercharged or boreing it out to a 383, z06 rims (i always like the look of em), suspesion, headers (to go with the cat-back), bigger TB, ect....

Short term: keeping her clean and tryin not to get banged into again. I use a lot of different products to keep her lookin good:
Exterior: Always wash her in the shade. I try to only wash the car with soap every once and a while. It's hard to get ALL the soapy residue off of a black car (or any car for that matter), and too much soap takes off the wax, so the rest of the times I wash it with just straight up water and a sheep hair mit (if you have bugs or tar that won't come off it's time to clay bar and buff again). Make sure to always scrub in patterns that go with the flow of the body to avoind swirl marks. Always dry her off with a chamois. It's the traditional, and a good way to make sure not to scratch the paint, leave any swirl marks, or end up with any water spots. Wax of choice is the meguires gold class liquid wax. Like I said earlier, I also try to use a clay bar and cleaner wax once every three or four months or when it needs it. It's a long process, but it gets every bit of tar and grime off of your paint. Just make sure you don't drop the clay bar on the ground!
Tires: Westly's Bleach White with a scrub brush does wonders, it gets all the crap off so that whatever tire product you put on after will soak in and last a long time. I use the turtle wax 2001 interior/tire shine (the stuff in the neon green bottle) as opposed to armor all tire shine or any of the other products that leave a crap load of build up on there. Two coats of F-2100 and you have a shine that will last a long time, and won't attract a heck of a lot of dust.
Rims: and all other chrome pieces: Mothers chrome polish. I wont ever settle for anything else. It's simply the best.
Interior: once again, I only use either the F-2100 spray (neon green bottle), or the new ICE interior cleaner on my dash and trim. Neither of them dry out your dash and lead to cracks like armor-all does. For the leather I use the meguires leather cleaner and conditioner. Nothing else comes close like meguires, and it smells awsome!!
Windows: Just water and a chamois. Any thing else isn't good on the window tint.

Thats about all I can think of right now. Those are all the products for greatness lol, just look at the pictures...

Oh I know it will. It just sucks not having a few grand to pull out of my ass and get it all done at once. Instead I pay bills...go grocery shopping...blah blah..and IF I have enough left over...I get a toy. Lol. It blows.

When you have a mortgage, utilities, cars and bills coming out of your ass...$300 is a lot of money. Cams alone...if I go with Crower...will be more than $300.

Mmm. I've been rebuilding the engine for over a year now. I'm kind of broke, and I'm into the head now where parts get expensive. Lol. Next stop- Cams!. I just lowered her two inches though. I have to get new pictures up...but she's sittin' nice. I think the next step is to start some body work during motor down time. There's a LOT of building up to do in the front bumper because the mold is low around the headlights.
