About Me

I'm 44. Found this old truck and am gonna try to make it a street rod when I'm not doing the softball thing with my daughters.

Make maps for a living in Las Vegas. Don't gamble if you can believe that and stay as far away from the "Strip" as possible.

General Vehicle Comments

Truck came from Oregon to Las Vegas. Restoration was started there but still needs alot of work. It is drivable but not on the highway at the moment.

There is some body work to be done on this thing, I will have something to work on this winter. I have visions of a two tone finish and a mild pro street look which means the bed is gonna be mini tubbed to make room for some big skins.I have a whole garage full of new stuff to make this a street rod truck. Soon I hope before Springtime, this truck will be more than just a former hay/rock hauler.

Accessories & Modifications

Came with a 283 c.i. engine & a manual 3 speed transmission, some new wheels and tires, thats about it so far.

Rear suspension us stock. Soon to be replaced with an Alston coil over ladder bar setup. Front leafs have been changed to new 3 inch dropped leaf springs.

Projects happening NOW:

Front disc brakes.
Rear suspension.
700r4 tranny.
New wheels and tires: Intro Tital wheels with Mickey Thompson Sprtsman S/R in the rear and Nitto 555's in the front.

Gas tank removed from cab. Summit racing cell put in the rear between the frame rails.
White paint was splashed on somehow. Lots of overspray everywhere. I guess if it was perfect there would be nothing to do to it.

My bed is all done and installed. What a project from begining to end. Nothing is stock anymore. The entire bed mounting is custom.

When we put the Z28 rear end in the truck it wasn't centered. The tire was partially covered by the front of the fender. So my father-in-law had a hair brain idea. We moved the fenders forward and drilled new holes. cut the running boards and skirts to fit.
